Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has fantastic views to the mountain and further west, but the road noise from the motorway can be bothersome at times. The rooms from the harbor view side fell short of our expectations but provide some quietness after midnight until early morning. The single-glazed windows do little to block the highway sounds.
The hotel is located directly opposite Constitution Dock, offering a stunning view of the harbor with plenty to do within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, meeting our family's needs perfectly. The service surpassed all my previous hotel experiences with accommodating staff who efficiently go about their jobs. However, the morning traffic noise and crossing buzzers can be a bit bothersome.
My stay at the hotel was truly memorable! The rooms were so helpful and cheerful, making my last-minute decision to stay here absolutely worth it. However, I did feel that some additional soundproofing would have been appreciated, and the lack of art or ambience was a small downside.
My stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. The location was unbeatable, right on the harbor's edge, close to all the action on the waterfront, and just a short walk from the CBD's shopping district. The service was truly top-notch, with incredibly friendly and professional staff who were always eager to assist. The rooms ranged from average with limited views to the absolutely stunning Executive Room with a beautiful marina view and spacious layout. However, the dining experience left much to be desired with subpar food quality and slow replenishment. Overall, a fantastic stay with a few minor drawbacks.
I was so amazed by the rooms that I couldn't tear myself away from the window, sipping wine and watching the harbor lights until late. The views were breathtaking, but the room felt a bit stuffy even with the air conditioner on.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with great facilities and a comfortable bed. The view over the harbor was a nice touch, although limited by the surrounding buildings. The service was exceptional with a warm and welcoming staff. The location was ideal for exploring the marina and nearby attractions, despite some road noise. The dining options were satisfactory but slightly pricey. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few minor drawbacks.
I had a fantastic stay at the Grand Chancellor. The rooms were very comfortable and offered stunning views of the marina. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. While the dining experience was a bit lacking, the convenient location and great service made up for it. The price was reasonable for the value provided.
Waking up to the sunrise in the large and spotlessly clean room with a comfortable bed was a great start, although the lack of soundproofing did lead to some early wake-ups in the morning. Overall, a spacious and clean accommodation for a relaxing stay.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although noisy due to road traffic, offered excellent harbor views at a premium price. The service had some hiccups but was overall friendly and accommodating. The location was convenient in the city center but lacked prompt service in some areas. The dining experience was excellent with great views, yet the price may not align with value for money.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel with stunning views of the docks and the Tasman Bridge. The rooms were clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable, offering a particularly good bed. The dinner and breakfast at the Tasman room were amazing. However, the breakfast quality was below expectations. The service was excellent with helpful and friendly staff, although some areas needed improvement. The location was fantastic, offering easy access to the wharf, shops, cafes, and attractions like Salamanca Markets and MONA ferries. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with value for money being a key factor. The facilities were modern and up-to-date, but the overall dining quality could be enhanced.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and suited my mobility needs, but the price was quite high for a tiny room. The pool needed repair with peeling paint, making the swim uncomfortable. However, upgrading to a harbor view room was stunning, and the bed was very comfortable.
Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight! The rooms were just perfect, spacious, and offered a lovely view of the dock area. The service was exceptional, especially in the breakfast department, with staff going the extra mile to ensure our comfort. The location couldn't have been better, right across from the harbor and ideal for exploring Hobart. However, the dining experience, although reasonably priced, could use some more variety. Overall, a fantastic stay with great value for money.
The hotel room was really nice and spacious with a nice view, but the poor lighting made it impossible to work comfortably, which could be improved considering the price charged.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious with views overlooking the Derwent, but there was terrible road noise due to the motorway starting outside. The service was exceptional, especially Kireesh, who was very helpful. The location was perfect, being right on the waterfront, but the dining experience was a real disappointment with poor staff service. Overall, it's a place with its own set of pros and cons.
I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and offered a stunning view of Mount Wellington and the Harbour. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my experience even more enjoyable. The location was superb, with easy access to fantastic restaurants, Salamanca market, and Battery Point. The dining experience was exquisite, although more affordable options would be appreciated. Overall, I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this hotel.
